Central World Plaza (formerly World Trade Center)
A huge and modern shopping and entertainment complex which with Isetan and Zen Central Department stores are located in the same area, Rachaprasong Road. Cineplex and ice-skating rink are also there.
Gaysorn Plaza
It is the shopping arcade of luxurious style in which various famous local and international brand name shops offer a wide array of trendy and luxurious items such as apparels, accessories, jewellery and home decors. It is located at the opposite of Central World Plaza and connected to the BTS Sky Train, Chidlom Station.
Narayana Phand
Located opposite Central World Plaza (formerly World Trade Center), it is a biggest handicraft centre, under government supervision; located on Ratchadamri Rd Visitors may inspect and buy selections of handicrafts from all parts of the country. Items available include Thai silk, ceramics, wood carvings, lacquer ware, bronze objects and Khon masks. The store is open daily from 10.00 a.m. until 8.00 p.m. (Tel: 2524670-9, 2554328-9)
Pantip Plaza
Pantip Plaza is a multi-storey mall for computer hardware, software and accessories at reasonable prices. This is computer heaven for many people coming to Thailand. Hundreds of shops on every floor sell hardware and software, both originals and pirated. Many people go there to buy copy software and VCD movies for as little as 100 baht. It is located in Petchburi Road.

River City Shopping Centre
River City Shopping Centre is located near Royal Orchid Sheraton, off Charoen Krung and Si Phraya roads. It is well known for its high quality art and antique shops. Auction sales of antiques are held occasionally at its exhibition hall.
The Oriental Place Shopping Arcade
The Oriental Place Shopping Arcade at Charoenkrung 38 near The Oriental Hotel boasts of being one of Bangkok's finest antiques centres, offering a wide variety of shopping items for the buyers of all interests.
Times Square Shopping Plaza
Times Square Shopping Plaza is located at the heart of the city, right between Sukhumvit Soi 12 and Soi 14. It can be easily accessed via the BTS Sky Train, Asoke Station. Shops in the plaza offer a wide variety of selected Thai local crafts and products and international brand name goods.
Seacon Square
Seacon Square Located on Si Nakharin Road in the southeast of Bangkok, this gigantic shopping centre attracts thousands of suburban people on weekends.
The Old Siam Plaza
The Old Siam Plaza Located in the Chinatown-Phahurat area, this old Bangkok-style shopping centre has numerous shops selling guns, gems and jewellery, Thai handicrafts and stalls selling Thai food, sweets and snacks.
The Emporium
The Emporium This modern shopping complex on Sukhumwit Road contains brand-name clothing and other shops like most shopping centres.
The Peninsula Plaza
The Peninsula Plaza, located on Ratchadamri Road between the Grand Hyatt Erawan and the Regent Bangkok, is the city's equivalent of Harrods, albeit on a smaller scale. The French-style multi-story building, housing over 70 small boutiques, caters to an exclusive upper-crust customer base. It carries imported brand name labels such as Versace and Gucci, jewellery, stylish local brands by famous designers and very luxurious gourmet shops. The Peninsula is open daily from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm and easily reached from the Ratchadamri BTS Station. |
